Medication Dosage

Locate the appropriate dose of acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen (Motrin) by utilizing the charts below.  By selecting your child's weight (left hand column) and the product you are using (drops, syrup, chewables, etc.) you should be able to find the appropriate dose for your child.  Your child's weight is always the first criteria; if you don't know how much she/he weighs, use the appropriate dose for his/her age. 

Acetaminophen goes by the trade name "Tylenol"®, as well as many store brand names.  Generic acetaminophen is just as effective as the national brands, and frequently much less expensive.
